Assessments

What it is

The MoveZenGo Assessment is a four-week standardized challenge designed with holistic wellness in mind. The Assessment is an accessible approach to determining the overall wellness of your organization. Organizations receive weekly progress reports to see how their participants are engaging with the challenge.

At the end of the four weeks, a final report is issued with scores benchmarked against industry standards and actionable insights for improvement (more on this in the Insights section below).

Unlike a typical configurable challenge, the Assessment has a pre-defined set of parameters to define a baseline of an organization’s wellness. This means that future iterations, with the same set of parameters, can be used to determine growth.

How it works

What sets the MoveZenGo Assessment apart from a typical challenge is its purpose-driven gamification. All types of activities are considered—steps, cycling, strength training, yoga, you name it—and converted to points. The points are used to place participants into one of four league rankings: Go (Starter), Bronze, Silver, or Gold.

Participants can sync activity from their fitness tracker or manually enter movement into the platform. Manual entry is enabled by default and cannot be turned off for Assessments. This ensures that everyone can take part—regardless of whether they use a device or not. Since there are no leaderboards in the Assessment, we rely on fair play and trust that participants will log their activity honestly, as there’s no incentive to do otherwise.

League rankings let participants and organizers alike see where they stand with their current habits. Rankings also provide a roadmap for improvement. Participants and organizations are prompted to acknowledge their current status and encouraged to use this as a stepping stone towards improvement. A significant benefit of having a baseline is to provide opportunities for growth, i.e. forward movement through the leagues.

The ultimate goal of the MoveZenGo Assessment is to give organizations actionable insights into their fitness levels and provide a launch pad for improvement.

League distribution

To make progress visible and keep things fun, every participant earns points based on their activity. As mentioned, all activities are considered and converted to points. The league distribution is as follows:

  • Tier 1: Under 3k: Go League
  • Tier 2: 3k - 6k: Bronze League
  • Tier 3: 6k - 10k: Silver League
  • Tier 4: 10k+: Gold League

Essentially, participants are placed in leagues based on the points they accumulate. These leagues give participants an idea of how much they are moving compared to industry standards.

Benefits for organizations

Insights in employee wellbeing

The MoveZenGo Assessment provides a clear, data-driven snapshot of how your employees are moving. Weekly reports and a comprehensive final summary help you identify trends in participation, engagement, and activity levels. Whether you’re looking to identify who’s thriving or who may benefit from more support, these insights allow you to make targeted, informed decisions about your wellness initiatives.

Assessment = 68% more movement

Our data shows that 68% of employees move more during the Assessment. The combination of gamified rankings and inclusive activity tracking makes it easy and motivating for people to participate at their own level. Whether it’s walking, stretching, cycling, or yoga, the challenge encourages real behavior change that can lay the foundation for longer-term healthy habits.

Try our platform risk-free

The MoveZenGo Assessment is the perfect opportunity to explore everything our wellness system has to offer—without committing to a long-term program. From onboarding materials and built-in gamification to fitness content and automated reports, you’ll get hands-on experience with the tools that support a successful challenge. It’s a structured, guided way to see the platform in action and decide what’s right for your team.

Build a better wellness strategy with real data

Understanding where your organization is starting from is key to designing effective future challenges. The data you gather during the Assessment highlights what types of activities your team enjoys, where engagement is strongest, and which groups may need more encouragement. With this baseline, you can create future programs that are more personalized, better aligned with your team’s needs, and more likely to drive long-term engagement and results.

Data privacy

Just like with any of MoveZenGo’s challenges, we understand that employee data is sensitive. We take data privacy seriously and are fully GDPR compliant. As an organization, you’ll have access to participants’ names and email addresses for communication and engagement purposes. Weekly reports provide aggregated data only — no individual daily stats or historical activity details are shared.

Benefits for participants

Gamified insights into day-to-day activities / movement

The MoveZenGo Assessment turns everyday activity into a fun, rewarding experience. As participants log movement, they earn points to track their progress. The points place participants in one of four league rankings (Go, Bronze, Silver, Gold). Participants get a real-time view of their habits and get to see how their efforts stack up. Seeing progress over the course of the Assessment provides participants with motivating benchmarks to stride towards. It’s not about being the best of the best, but becoming the best version of themselves.

Encouragement to keep moving (extend streak)

Logging movement supports consistency, that’s a given. To encourage consistency, participants are encouraged to keep showing up. With gentle nudges, leaderboards and personal streaks, daily effort is encouraged and rewarded. Building streaks help participants build momentum that goes beyond the four-week challenge.

Les Mills workout videos

Participants get access to the full Les Mills On-Demand library—featuring expert-led workouts for all levels and interests. From low-impact options like yoga and stretching to energizing HIIT, dance, and strength training, there’s something for everyone. These workouts are available anytime, anywhere, making it easier than ever to stay active in a way that fits each participant’s lifestyle, comfort level, and schedule.

Insights

The MoveZenGo Assessment is designed to get your team moving and establish a baseline upon which to build your wellness strategy. Understanding where you’re starting helps to define the steps needed to improve. The Assessment reporting facilitates not only the baseline, but also provides insights on engagement and improvement. We measure key parameters (Engagement Score, Activity Score, MoveZenGo Score) to determine an Organization Score (Red, Orange, Green).

Standard Scores

The Engagement Score is calculated based on the percentage of users who have added or synced at least one activity. The more users who sync/add an activity across the Assessment period, the higher the score.

The Activity Score is the overall increase in activity/movement across all participants of the Assessment, compared at the period prior* to the start of the Assessment.

The MoveZenGo Score and the Significant Improver Score are added bonuses of the MoveZenGo Assessment. This is our special sauce. It will tell which percentage of the participants either move more, or are already moving nough. The MoveZenGo Score compiles weekly data on participant movement and improvement.

To create a baseline for participants, we use the data available from the 7 days prior* to the Assessment. Throughout the assessment, participants are benchmarked against industry standard fitness data to determine how much movement they are engaging in.

* Should there be no available data prior to the Assessment, the first 7 days of data are used for the baseline.

The MoveZenGo Touch

We calculate the MoveZenGo Score on a participant level. It is based on week-by-week data that determines whether there has been a positive change in movement (i.e. higher score) compared to the baseline. In the weekly report, this is presented as showing the difference from week to week. The goal is for participants to steadily increase their points to move up a league.

The Significant Improver Score is an organization-wide score that is based on how many participants were able to advance tiers compared to the baseline. The more participants who positively move through the leagues, the higher the score. It’s important to note that participants who start and finish in the Gold league are not included in this data as they are already consistently meeting recommended daily activity levels.
